Chill has a great deal to offer the casual diner. Fantastic views from its beach front location taking in the sweep of the bay from Kewarra Beach to the jetty at Palm Cove with Double Island and Scout Hat Island just off the shore.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and coffee are great. This has become one of my top three places around Cairns to dine or just have a coffee!
Chill Cafe is a wonderful beach front cafe located on the esplanade of Palm Cove in the Northern Beaches of Cairns and it overlooks the beach and is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and palm trees - it's really picture perfect actually. It's high rating on Trip Advisor was what drew us here and we believe the rating and praise was definitely well deserved. The food was extremely tasty, reasonably priced for such good quality the serving size would make you smile. We ordered the salt and pepper calimari and the fish tacos and were very happy. Although the side salads could do with a little bit more dressing / olive oil, the staff were extremely attentive and friendly and not overbearing. We also ordered an acai smoothie which was refreshingly tasty, but thought that $12 is slightly on the pricey side for a smoothie. However, this place is a must try for Palm Cove visitors.
Chill Cafe is truly the perfect spot to chill out in Palm Cove. With a beachfront location, it attracts all sorts - backpackers, dog-owners, families and retirees. It has both indoor and outdoor seatings to cater for its varied customers. My favourite spot is outdoors on the stool overlooking the palm trees, beach and Coral Sea.
Customer service was top-notch - personable, friendly and engaging. Our coffee orders were memorised only after our 2nd visit. Coffee, roasted by Mambo Coffee, was rich and full-bodied as advertised. I also enjoyed every bit of the hearty Traditional Bacon and Eggs for brekkie, especially the grilled tomatoes. I could have done with 2 pieces of toast though (instead of 1). Prices were on par with the rest of the eateries on this tourist strip.
Boyfriend was so impressed with Chill Cafe that we stopped by 4 times in our 3 day stay in Palm Cove!
