ALL KNIVES ARE COLD HONED TO AVOID OVERHEATING THE BLADE, THEN THE EDGE IS FINISHED ON A FINE COMMERCIAL OIL STONE. BAD CHIPS OR BROKEN TIPS CAN USUALLY BE REPAIRED. Scissors & snips are cold honed at a angle that best suits the type of scissor or snip being serviced, blade tension is adjusted, this is very important ! ( if the tension is too loose the edge life is reduced, too tight and the tool is hard to use ) then the pivot is lubricated with a special long lasting oil. TOOLS LIKE HEDGE CLIPPERS, PRUNERS & SHEARS ARE COLD HONED, THE BLADES ARE REALIGNED IF REQUIRED AND THE PIVOT IS LUBRICATED. Secateurs & loppers are disassembled and cleaned, the cutting blade is sharpened at 20 degrees and the pivot lubricated. WE GUARANTEE ALL OUR WORK, HOWEVER IF ASKED TO SHARPEN A TOOL THAT WE CONSIDER WILL NOT COME UP TO STANDARD ORDER WE WILL SUGGEST NEW REPLACEMENT.
