Went to brewery today for my mums birthday lunch have not been for ages. I ordered the rague today as it was a cold day and the rague was just warm. We did get the pork sliders for entre which was good. The service was very good people nice, child friendly place. I remember the food use to be awesome but just gastro pub fair now. The beer and the cider is very good however.
Came for a Parma with a friend and everything was perfect, the food portions were massive and the wine was delicious (is making me hungry thinking about it) and the outdoor area was nice as far as fitting in with the scenery and feeling fresh and genuine. Will definitely be back :)
Been here about three times now. The first time was for a dbl date for lunch, never being there before we didn't know if we help our selves to a table or what so we waited at the bar for a good 10 min to ask if we could have a table to be served by a very rude woman. The meals the selves were Devine and im not a beer person at all but I actually liked what I tasted from my partners drink. Second visit was nothing special but service was ok. Third time we went there was for a function, had upstairs all to our selves with our own bar lady and waitress. Service was excellent and the meals were the best yet! The waitress we had, was either having a very clumsy day or was new to the job as she split 2 drinks one being on an elderly lady and also dropped an empty glass. But she was very apologetic. No harm done. All in all I recommend you go at least once. :-)
After many visits popping in to sample some brews we made our way to Coldstream Brewery today for Sunday lunch. This is typical gastro pub fare, nothing too extraordinary but more on offer than your standard pub fare of steak, parma's & bad fish n chips! We opted for the BBQ glazed American style Pork Ribs with Raddicioslaw and potato skins, the Chicken pizza, with Chicken, spinach, Spanish onion, cherry tomato, bocconcini and basil pesto. We ordered a side of Pilsner battered onion rings with paprika oil & got a pasta & meatballs kids meal for my son. Of course I got the obligatory $10 tasting paddle, consisting of 4 beers & a cider, while my wife got a pint of their dry cider. A substantial meal...and boy was it. Servings are ample. Taste was OK. Consistent but nothing jaw droppingly good. I'd seen some reviews questioning the service here but everyone was friendly. Maybe an effort to be nice is all that's needed & they return the favour. ...read more
