I bought a car here, on the proviso (their promise) that should any defects show up in the 3 month warranty period, I could get it repaired at my local mechanic. I sought this arrangement as my residence is over an hour away. After having it NRMA inspected, a number of warranty issues arose, however, they refused to use my mechanic and insisted I drive all the way to their yard, leave the car and wrestle with public transport back and forth. When I collected the car, only a few of the faults were corrected and after much argument with the principal, including a veiled threat to assault me, I had Fair Trading sought the matter out. This yard is not recommended for after sales service. Once the money changed hands they didn't want to know me.
Sam, this customer is totally wrong in his comments. i have had excellent dealings with cronulla car sales.
The worst dealership i have had the misfortune of buying a car from. Patrick is totally unprofessional and abusive towards myself after bring up a fault that was supposed to be fixed. Plan straight out sharks that work here, they do no checks of the car but hype it up with words and stories. Left me with a horrible feeling and have had some issues with the care. I will sort this out on my own accord as i cant bear returning to this dealership and talking to Patrick or his partner/owner. Buyers beware!
These guys give used car salesmen a bad name. Beware if they suggest you pay a "holding deposit" on a car you have indicated an interest in. I now know that a holding deposit is usually paid when you have decided you would like to buy and are prepared to sign a contract. If you pull out after signing, you will lose your deposit. Fair enough. That's not the way these guys see it. I paid the suggested 'holding deposit' when I rang to inquire, thinking it was just to 'hold' the car until I could get to the dealership to have a look. This ended up being essentially a $500 fee for a test drive, with no paperwork at all. Not even a receipt. Thankfully, Fair Trading sorted it out for me, but Cronulla Car sales were uncommunicative and unprofessional as I attempted to resolve the problem.
Not recommended.
I bought a used Honda from Cronulla Car Sales on Saturday and would like to say how impressed both my wife and I were with their business ethics and integrity. We drove to Sydney from Ulladulla on the south coast after speaking to a salesman the day after the car was traded in. I was interested and Peter said he would contact me after their mechanic checked the car and it was detailed. He called on Friday, we drove up on Saturday and although someone else was interested at a higher price the car was held for me at a lower price quoted to me over the phone. It is no small thing to honour commitments to customers when profit is involved. Cronulla Car Sales is at the pinacle of best business practice and integrity, a car dealer that I highly recommend to anyone.
Interstate buyer's beware. When registering a vehicle in your own state you are required to hand over the interstate plates from the car you purchased interstate. You are then entitled as the new owner to get s refund on any registration from that vehicle. This car yard wants you to send the plates back to them so they can claim the refund!.No way! If they don't want you to claim the refund of rego they need t I get you a permit to drive the car back to your destination. Stand y our ground because you are the owner not them.
