I've had my hair cut at De Sylva for over two years now. They always do a superb job. Great personalised experience every time, always accomodating and super efficient service. I regularly book in late due to work - never a problem for Mel and her team. Great location too, easy parking. I recommend them highly.

I went to this salon for many years on and off and I had enormous respect for the owner, Mel. At the end of 2016 I went from brunette to blonde at this salon without much breakage. Immediately after the next regrowth colour, 80% of my hair broke off to 4 cm. This was done by a young hairdresser as Mel was away. Despite the damage done by this salon, Mel didn't want to know about it and denied all responsibility. I cannot recommend this salon.

I had a wonderful experience with De Sylva hair design. I was fortunate enough to get a walk in appointment first thing in the morning - based on the conversations I overheard they are very popular and have a busy schedule. The lady who did my hair (sorry I have forgotten her name) was the English lady with beautiful curly hair. She took time to consult me about what I was looking for before washing my hair. After a great wash and head massage, we went through it again and she interpreted what I told her even though I wasn't even sure! The cut was pretty quick and she knew what she was doing, she spent the most time drying my hair and making it look lovely with some soft waves. When I asked for a little more weight to be taken out my hair afterwards end she was more than happy and really seemed to know what she was doing.
