Dog And Parrot Tavern

Went for a meal with the family one evening.
Place is well laid out in sections for those wanting different areas - sports bar, bistro, gaming.
Food was nice but place just seemed to lack atmosphere.

Just stopped in late one afternoon for a few drinks before heading out. Service at the bar was good, the wait staff was friendly. There's an indoor & outdoor eating area with enclosed kids playground for little ones, separate gaming room, and another bar area with bikini ladies. There's plenty of parking and a bottle shop next door. Not sure why, but I'm not too keen on going back. I think I'd prefer to try somewhere else.

Have been here a few times but not for a long time. It's below average as far as pubs go and the smell of smoke really put me off.

This Tavern looks the part but it has the worst service of any pub I have ever been in (and there have been a few!) The staff have absolutely no concept of customer service. I keep returning to this place (as it is convenient) and every time I am stunned by the total rudeness, arrogance and apathy displayed by the staff. It isn't enough to just look good! The food is okay, but too expensive. The wait staff are friendlier, but it is the bar staff who give the place a real lack of atmosphere or enjoyment. Avoid at all costs!

We had a terrible experience at Dog and Parrot on Saturday night. Having just moved into the area we thought it nice to "shop local" so we rang and booked a table for 7. At their request we also gave them our mobile number. We arrived 9 minutes late, waited in line for 10 minutes and then when we got to the counter, we were informed by the order taker girl that we were late and our table had been given away. We then asked if there is another table, to which she simply looked away, ignored us and immediately called out "next" to the people waiting in line behind us! We were all (including 4 small children) standing there dumfounded and were stunned at her rude service and ignorance of us.
