Leading the way into evidence-based assessment and psychotherapyDr. Manuela Habicht provides a variety of psychotherapies (CBT, ACT, IPT, DBT, Psychodynamic psychotherapy) for children, adolescents, adults and elderly people and adjunct therapies such as clinical hypnosis and EMDR for the treatment of clinical disorder and personality disorder.
She commonly helps people with depression, panic attacks, agoraphobia, OCD, phobias, sleep disorders, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, adjustment disorders, substance use, chronic pain, and other clinical disorders.
She also provides forensic psychology services including but not limited to assessments for family court proceedings, care proceedings, criminal proceedings, personal injury proceedings and children's court proceedings.
She is an accredited mediator (LEADR and Defence),a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, approved Farm Debt Mediator (NSW Rural Assistance Authority) and an Approved Childrens Court Clinician (NSW).
Her qualifications include:
Ph.D. (Psychology), M Sc (Psychology), B Sc (Psychology), MMHSc (Therapy), MA(Psychoanalytic Studies), Grad Dip SSc (Clinical Hypnosis), LLM, LLB.

Dr Habicht has been my psychologist for quite some time and I have consulted with her face-to-face, by phone and telehealth over this period of time including Covid.
It is difficult to remember how things were when they started but, I remember some an introductory session followed by some assessment and then treatment planning. She provided a lot of psychoeducation about the process of assessment and the need for it to be thorough in order to determine the contributing factors to the problem.
She shared her case formulation with me and since then we have worked on the goals that she has helped me to fine-tune and that we review regularly.

Dr. Manuela H. Habicht is a very professional and highly qualified individual. She is competent and empathetic and provides supervision and coaching in addition to clinical services to the highest standard. She provides evidence-based practice in a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities and gives clients the choices and provides insight into their advantages and disadvantages.
She always provides a safe and supportive environment to express concerns and feelings and asked for feedback at the end of the sessions. Dr Habicht is able to communicate in different languages fluently something that I have experienced.
She is great is providing psychoeducation and assisting clients in gaining insight. It is acknowledged that it can often be difficult for clients when their thoughts are challenged. While this might be confronting it is an essential part of psychotherapy and assists in gaining insight.
