Quite a unique concept, to have a wine shop, cafe and cellar so to speak all in one. Of course, if you have breakfast here you won't be drinking wine. I've only ever been after dark, it was a group function, we were all standing, and waitresses brought our finger good to us. Wines were superb as you would expect at a place that is largely a cellar . I'd like to return and choose the food myself, and sit at one of th long tables, the finger food I had was tasty, but not earth-shattering. Great idea and great vibe at night .
Really enjoyed a couple of drinks and sides here after a conference one afternoon.
The international wine menu is great but there's not a lot just by the glass.
We also had the fried chicken pieces, pulled pork sliders, corn fritters and macadamia nuts to get us through.
There's indoor and outdoor seating and a bottle shop inside if you need to grab something extra before heading home.
Frequented by a lot of local business guys from the MLC building and surrounds, it's a great watering hole.
I had been to Drink Better Wine a few times for drinks after work or a coffee. I decided I would try coming here for lunch and I was not disappointed.
The ambience is clean, modern and business-chic with classics from Sinatra to Jazz mashups playing in the background. Wooden tables and benches are clustered along the restaurant with plenty of space and a calm atmosphere suitable for a long leisurely meal or a business luncheon.
The menu was interesting with menu items such as parmesan and truffle fries, smoke salmon salads and poached duck egg, beer baked chicken sandwich and many more exciting items. They have a diverse range of beers and of course wines, all served the way the makers intended.
I order the smoke salmon Caesar salad and it was fresh, delicious and very satisfying for a weekday lunch. Items range from $19 for a main and around $9 a side.
Will definitely be coming here again!
