I have been going to Duffy's for about 8 years now and always see Riarna. She is an amazing hairdresser, professional and just an all round lovely person. All the staff are friendly and courteous and I find the salon very reasonably priced when comparing to city or eastern suburbs.

After recently moving to Melbourne, I was on a hunt to find a new hairdresser. After asking around at various salons for the price of a cut and keratin treatment, Duffy was the cheapest place I found. When I went to ask how much I'd be charged, I was told between $380$420 (although my old salon in Queensland charged $400 for the same thing, I'd found most of the salons I'd visited in Melbourne were quoting around $350-$400 for the keratin, plus a bit more for the cut). When I went in the following week to get my hair done however, I ended up being charged $490! What is worse is that I was told that they hadn't charged me for the haircut and that they had given me a student discount for the keratin treatment! I also ended up getting quite a bit of my hair cut off so it was just past my shoulders, much shorter than it was when they gave me the original quote for long hair. Terrible experience. My first time a staff coloured my hair yellow. The beach was put in for 10 minutes on one side and 40 minutes on the other..You can imagine the result. Dry, yellow straw. Lovely staff but no idea. The staff are very, very nice but inexperienced. This one had no idea and my hair has been ruined as a result. My advice is find somewhere else where the staff are supervised.
