Hi I have just forked over $1800.00, to have a mini schnauzer from Argentina boarded for ten 10 days at Eastern Creek.Yes they have dropped the mandatory 30 days to just 10 days yahoo but the cost has gone from $1300.00 for 30 days to $1800.00 for ten days I have been charged around $80.00 for airport staff to look after the dog, when he arrives already but if the plane is delayed Aqis will charge extra for having to meet the plane a second time. Seems to me if they meet the plane as claimed why are they paying airport staff to look after the dog?.You'd think they would wait for a call that the dog has indeed arrived already, please it pickup. Its a no brainer to me. So I am already concerned that this is a cash cow that our wonderful govt has it's greedy claws into.

I am importing 2 pets back to Oz after a six month stay in Uk and knew they were dropping to 10 days so thats why i brought pets with me - didnt know they would hike the prices up so much so instead of paying around $2300 for them both its now $3800 !! its not like they even walk your pets for that sort of money - i cant afford it but wont leave them behind so have had to find it ! well peed off ! i feel your pain :(
My cats were brought in from South Korea and stayed here for 10 days. The service was great - every time I called, people were happy to help and answer any questions I had. One of my cats had a small incident and I was immediately informed. The workers at the facility seemed genuinely concerned about the cats. I really did feel that they were in good hands.
Our dog is in there for 1 months and we couldn't even book 1 appointment to walk her because they were all booked out.
You pay $1300 for 1 month for your dog. They don't walk your dog, bathe your dog or play with your dog.
The 1st day we were allowed to visit was Tuesday when we arrived on Friday in the early morning. When I saw my dog there were 3 poo's and numerous wee's when she only poo's once/day so it seems that they only pressure hose the cell once every 3-4 days....disgusting.
The dogs are howling 24/7. It's so sad.
