I had my 30th Birthday there recently and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food wads amazing and very good value for money and was double the amount i thought i had ordered. Always good to be presently surprised by a business these days. I would definitely recommend it as a venue to others for functions
This is one of those pubs that I hadn't visit until quite late, despite it being on the bus route that I would catch to my friend's house. I can't really say what this place used to be like, but these days it looks pretty cool with the antlers hanging on the wall, a pretty cool beer garden out the back (apparently voted the best in South Australia), and a pretty decent sized balcony. Even with all of that, the pub even throws in live bands, so honestly (depending on whether the band is any good) who can really ask for more? Cheap beer I guess (yep, I believe they have that as well). I guess the other thing that makes this pub so great is that it is away from the more crowded parts of the Adelaide night scene, but not too far away that a short walk will bring you to your doors. I'm really going to have to come back here on a Friday night just to see their bands.
