The restaurant sits in the lovely location. I ordered spaghetti vongole and it was a bit too oily. It wasn't very bad, somewhat tasty but not something I would order again. My husband ordered fish sandwich, a bit too much source. Overall average. Average service and average food. Expensive food but lovely setting.
It has been a few years since we have dinned here and tonight we ordered from the takeaway Menu - Betroot salad was average and had what looked like tinned beetroot in it, Primevera relatively tastless with what looked and tasted like packet Penne pasta. overall very disappointed with our meal. The only dish which was slightly above average was the Lamb Ragu. We had expected better from this establishment and wont return due to the significant drop in standards.
A truly superb restaurant, both in the take away section and the dine in area. The atmosphere is truly warm, with the staff making you feel welcome and at home and rustic tables and heaters all around topping of the feeling. The food is always superb. You will never be left wanting with the size of the meals, and unlike some restaurants they do not sacrifice quality in dishing out such large portions. It is a great place to go all year around, and every year there menu seems to grow, the staff become friendlier and the food they serve grows in quality. Highly recomended.
