Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses

I recently returned again after quite some time, although I pass them so often. I was looking at purchasing a cake for an 80th birthday, enough to cater for about 10 people. After looking through their custom made cakes I couldn’t find anything that appealed to me without the sugar coating on the outside. Having a chat to the owner, he suggested one of the chocolate mousse cakes that they have over the counter, the serving was the right size and the cake was nicely decorated. I ended up ordering one of those with a special chocolate plaque on it for an extra $8.50, all up the cake was $41.50. Everyone seem to have enjoyed the cake and there was actually plenty left over for another day. Great customer service highly recommended and would return again!

I was here just yesterday, strangely enough its my local Ferguson Plarre and Ive never been inside. I wanted to have a look at their cake options and designs for an upcoming birthday. The photos they have and variety to select from are huge, compared to the limited displays they have posted on the websites. The young fellow working was so lovely and helpful, suggesting a variety of cakes to suit my needs and clearly explaining the time frame required to order particular cakes. I found the price very reasonable, in comparing to a recent cake I ordered from a nearby competitor recently. They offer not only cakes, but hot food and drinks. Its a great place to step in for a coffee break or something little to eat. Definitely like to return again for my next cake order and given how conveniently its located, and in a great location along Douglas Parade with all the other shops side by side.

Whether it's stopping for a coffee and a gourmet pie for lunch or organizing a cake for someone's birthday this place is definately a favourite!

THE BEST COFFEE IN WILLIAMSTOWN! Pies are amazing (try the tuna and asparagus one) and every cake we have had made has looked and tasted amazing. The Angel Cake is absolutely delish and rich as!
