This has to be one of my favorite market in the western suburbs. I grew up going to this market, it hasn’t changed much in terms of the merchants and what the sell apart from the change of management in a number of the stalls. The hustle bustle of this market, the vibrant crowd, the many eatery options is just fantastic. The atmosphere is different all depending on the day that you go, of course on Saturday is where all the actions are happening and lots of discounts on the variety of butchery & seafood shops. At the foodcourt itself, they offer a wide range of different food at a very reasonable price. Doesn’t always look the cleanest in this market, however doesn’t affect the quality of the fresh fruits/meat & food available!
One of my favourite markets in Victoria for fresh produce - fruit and especially meats and seafood. Come early on a Saturday (before 2pm) to get the best and freshest meats and seafood. It is quite an amusing scene to walk through and if you are savvvy you can save a fair bit by shopping here compared to your normal supermarket. The deli here has a decent selection of cheeses, dips and cured meats as well.
