Gambaro's Seafood Restaurant
Normally a restaurant of this calibre would be above my usual fare, but a recent visit with the TrueLocal Brisbane safari have made it clear they well and truly merit the pricetag. This is not a cheap outing by any means, but the restaurant is pristine, the service is absolutely impeccable and I'm pleasantly surprised to say I've had the best steak of my life at a seafood restaurant...
We will definitely be back - if you're looking for an option to really impress (date night?), Gambaro's won't disappoint!
The story goes that my parents went here on their first date, back in the 50s, when fish and chips was served from a hole in the wall. Who would have thought that approximately 60 years later, this historical restaurant would be a multi award winning, luxurious dining experience.
As we walked through the front doors, we were welcomed by the maitre'd. As we were guided to our private dining room, more staff welcomed us and made us feel as though we were the most important guests that had been there.
The decor, furniture and atmosphere were impeccable.

What a delight to visit Gambaro's for the second destination on the True Local Food Safari last night.
From the moment we walked in staff were smiling, happy and professional.
The restaurant with its fresh renovations were on point, clearly making a statement on its new modern direction.
Led into the private dining room, we were made to feel welcome and greeted with history and information on sustainable produce used at Gambaros as well as the impressive selections imported from Italy.
Food was perfection. Very impressed with the simplicity of just good ingredients made to shine.
Started with Prawn cocktail & the prosciutto mozzarella (sharing is caring!), a succulent medium eye fillet for main with tastes of the bucatini pasta.

The second destination for the True Local's Brisbane Food Safari, 29th of September 2016. Wow, wow, wow, I could not have thought of a better place to finish off a marvellous night. Exquisitely delicious food to compliment the venue, honestly I am lost for word's because Gambaro's Seafood Restaurant is amazing.
