I visited 19 Oct 2012 and the guy who used to make it so great is back!
So all pizzas are now better than any other local Pizza place.
For example much better than Ricciolini's, (1208 Centre rd Clarinda) and Jessie's (Shop 6 / 1129 North rd Oakleigh) who both have very little topping. A pizza should be more than bread and cheese!

I ate at Garbatella a couple of years back and i remember how great the pizza was. How dissappointed I was this time around!! The quality is definately missing as is the service. Not sure they know what they're doing. Happy to travel that little extra to get the better pizza elsewhere.... Beats waiting around for an order anyway that's not really worth it!
New management again?, pizza doesn't take 45Min's to make, order 1 large pizza at 6:25 walked around the shops came back in at 6:45 watched them make my pizza at 6:56 got out of their at 7:05 way too slow and buy the sounds of the other 4 people that where in their it's not a once off, as for the pizza yeah not to bad but have had better locally
This is the best pizza I have ever tasted in Melbourne! For under $20 I got a large pizza, coke and garlic bread delivered to my door, they have even cheaper deals when you pick up. The pizzas have lots of toppings, especially cheese! The service is always friendly and I have never had a bad experience there. I HIGHLY recommend everyone tries Garbatella Pizza, you won't regret it!
