Georges Gourmet Food Store

Have been a semi-regular of this place for a few months but won't be going back again after so much rudeness. We sat ourselves down after waiting to be seated since no one came to assist us- sitting at a filthy table and being ignored for ten minute's before staff finally came to offer menu's and clean the table. We ordered promptly as we knew what we wanted and then the long wait began. The customer service is terrible, the management incredibly rude and we were kept waiting almost an hour for food whilst other's around us who arrived after we were fed, ate and even left before we got our meal. Pity we couldn't try anything to eat there as I arrived with 2 other mums and we all had babies in prams. We were told we had to eat outside as they wouldn't accommodate the prams inside. It was cold so we went elsewhere and have found a mum friendly cafe nearby.

What a nice cafe to find! Such delicious food, friendly staff and a charming, nostalgic atmosphere about the place. I will definitely be coming back again to eat more of your cakes!

Pity I Couldn't try the food or coffee as when 3 of us walked into the shop with our cycling gear on, we were promptly told to sit outside, (even though only 1 table was taken).
There's a mighty lot of cyclists around the area and word travels fast. Pity!

Cafe offers a wide range of lunch style cooking, quiches, pastas, salads. They have a good range of lunches. Breakfast is not so good, the bread served with breakfast is thin sliced white sandwich, the sausages are processed supermarket BBQ sausages, not what you would expect from a gourmet food store. I've had good coffee from this place and the lunches are good, but I wouldn't be going back for breakfast, there are a lot better places around for that.
