I "WAS" a regular customer for the past five years and last night's take away order had crumbed prawns that were rancid. So floury and immediately tasted 'off' - not edible whatsoever. I phoned the shop when I got home to advise - precaution so they could check and ensure others didn't get sick on their 'off' prawns. Visited them in person today and had a stand-off with an extremely rude manager claiming I had no rights, and to bring the prawns back again so there's proof??? No - I will opt to report you to Health, and let others know. On closer viewing today, the benches and floors are filthy and grimey, cluttered and untidy. Back door in view of customers is blackened with grime. Five years as a customer (and different owners) and I will never ever step foot in this shop again while current ill-informed lack-of-customer service management are there. Surprisingly great fish & chips! There's never too much batter or crumb and the fish is alway moist and delicious. I recommend buying some of the raw prawns and cooking them yourself at home, they are the meatiest, tastiest prawns I've had!
Speedy, efficient service too. Two thumbs up!
