Grange Hotel

I'm going to have to say that this pub was okay, but certainly not the best. Okay, it's pretty conveniently located opposite the Grange Jetty, and it does have a reasonable atmosphere, but it does come across as a bit too classy for my tastes. I have been here a couple of times, but not often, namely because I tend to find myself down the other side of Henley Beach. There is a bistro that over looks the beach, while the sports bar is located out the back. The drinks aren't hugely cheap, but they are certainly not the most expensive that I've seen. Still it is okay for a beachside pub, but certainly not one of the best (but far from being the worst either).

My Family and I, visit the Grange Hotel at least once a month for dinner, and are always impressed by the quality of the food and service we always receive.. we would have no problems recommending the Grange to anyone looking for top quality Australian Cuisine..

Until recently - 6 weeks ago, we would drive once a week from our home in a mid north town we live,to have lunch/dinner at the Grange Hotel, a round trip of around 2 and a bit hours. The food in both the Bistro and the Restaurant are 1st class. The staff generally very friendly with the exception of one. He may have been having a bad day - we have not been back since - I wrote a letter to Management and have not had the courtesy of a reply!!! His attitude, definitely favoured 'regulars' in the Gaming area - we were made to feel extremely threatened by his manner. Such a shame - we certainly will not be recommending the Grange .
