All of the food was absolutely perfect! We had a wide selection including pigs ears, tortellini, steak, duck and a chocolate pudding to share. Everything was so delicious! The service was impeccable too. Our new favourite restaurant in Port Douglas, can't wait to go back!
We spent 5 days in Port Douglas and were hoping this would be the highlight of our stay but definitely wasn't. Food was okay but had better at cheaper restaurants in Port Douglas. The worst was the service though and all down to the first impression from the maitre d. When we arrived they were stood on their own with their list of bookings and didn't even raise their head for an age and acknowledge we were there. When they eventually they did, they still didn't look at us to the extent where we thought they were speaking to themselves. Very rude and having eaten at some top end restaurants in the past this didn't rate up to what we expected.
Superb! The food, ambiance and service is flawless. This is tropical fine dining at its best. Our dinner at Harrisons was excellent. The duck salad entree was a highlight, as was the lemon meringue pie. The wine list is comprehensive, with great options either by the bottle or by the glass. Large trees, fairy lights and a spacious dining area mean that Harrisons is the perfect place for a romantic dinner. Book ahead for the best tables, but you still have a good chance of getting a table without a booking. Harrisons also offers a special lunch menu which is good value for money.
On a recent trip to Port Douglas we dined at Harrisons, regarded as one of Port Douglas' top restaurants. The environment is smaller and intimate and the service is efficienct and equal to any good Sydney or Melbourne restaurant. If you love steak, the Chateaubriand is a huge hit - our guests couldn't stop raving about it. The desserts were very good too. Whilst this isn't a cheap restaurant it does offer good produce and value.
Service was friendly and charming. Really felt welcomed. The venue was delightful with a lovely homestead verandah feel. The food was outstanding and delicious. It is expensive but the chef is a Michelin chef in a past life ... So I'd have to say it was all worth what I paid for. Would go back again .
