Harry Hartog

Occupying a relatively medium-sized store, Harry Hartog at Macquarie Centre is a new place to go for when you feel like taking a time out. The shop has a modern luxury feeling with leather chairs and old furnishings, as well as jazz music on the background. The combination of all the elements successfully transported me into a different kind of realm.

The shop was arranged such that it felt quite spacious. In addition to books (and they do have quite a lot of books despite looking otherwise!), Harry Hartog also sells a range of giftwares and boardgames amongst other things.

They also have some kind of a membership program that you can sign up at the counter to receive $10 credit once you have accumulated a spend of $200. It might seem like a little incentive but if you intend to visit this shop frequently, it pays out over time.
