This JB is one of the stores I still love wandering through. Picked up a few bargains in my wandering too - some of which I didn't even realise I needed...
It was one of the few stores to have stock of 'Full House' when I was looking for it recently, and so cheap that I bought 3 seasons worth!
Have also picked up or looked through cameras, electronics, and their quite solid and well-priced computer section.
I must say the staff can be a bit hit and miss, some seem to have incredible knowledge - especially in the computer and camera dept but others especially in their TV section are clearly biased towards selling based on price, or alternatively have just seemed disinterested in me.
This is a fairly ghastly looking store, but that's because they're pretty much on the 'big' side! DVD's & Blu-Rays cover about 1/3 of the store, you name it & they've got the title - even older titles. Then there's the home whitegoods section - TV's, surround sound etc - they've often got good range of even the newest items here. The remainder is divided between Apple / PC products and home entertainment, cameras, GPS etc. What I love about this section is that the staff will almost always considerably discount anything you ask about - sometimes even with a really generous discount (especially on ipod docks etc in my experience).
Well worth a visit unless you don't want to be tempted to spend any money!!
The staff were very helpful and answered my enquiry immediately. However, the staff working on the check out used the filthiest language I've ever heard. I'm quite surprised a huge and well known brand such as JB's would have such an uncouth, foul mouthed staff working for them. As a gave the staff a confused look the staff then gave me filthy looks. Vile disgusting language, I'm just grateful young children weren't around. Will never be back if this is the type of staff acceptable to JB's. Occurred today at 2.20pm. Still in shock that I heard these words in a workplace. Wow. The world of retail has hit a new low.
