Hi we visited the tea rooms for a 2nd visit today and we were not disappointed. This is a friendly and slightly bohemian cafe with good service and great food! Everything is made on the premises and is fresh and tasty, in fact, the hamburger I had today is one of the best I have eaten in quite a long while with great home made relish and aoli-YUM. My partner had a home made pie which he also said was most enjoyable. A simple menu with all day brekie, burgers and baguettes with delicious cakes. Definitely worth a visit and will return!
Nice atmosphere; quirky little place. Service from waitresses was great and the food just above average.Found the management unprofessional as would not accept coupon voucher for booking- bearing it mind it was the weekend but cafe 2/3 empty.
Hi. I'm really sorry you were dissappointed back in February when you were unable to book and redeem your voucher at short notice and posted your review on another site to express this. I am surprised to see the exact same review on this site, word for word. The cafe is usually quite busy on weekends. You are more than welcome to visit us on weekdays usually with a day's notice however, please understand that the vouchers clearly state that "bookings are subject to availability". I don't believe it is unprofessional to ask that the conditions on the voucher be observed. We can usually fit guests in on weekends 2-3 weeks in advance. I am sorry you felt dissappointed and invite you to call back to redeem your voucher.
Thank you for the above review nomnomnom1. We were considering this tea room for an upcoming weekend but will not use it now. A restaurant who does not honour customer vouchers when there are tables available at a quiet time is one I will bypass. I need to know the stores I support always do their absolute best at accommodating all their customers.
Our local choice for fine food. Very laid back, warm and friendly service. The food is excellent, very modern and well priced given the high quality. The decor (many local artists and curiosities), the unique sitting of the building and the local parrots make this a spot to remember. There are comfy couches for more informal dining or coffee. Very child friendly.
