King and Wilson used for international relocation

Problems includ
- third party contract packers
- initially look cheaper compared to competition but then packed double amount quoted, so charged double the initial quote... so they are more expensive in the end
- packing done extremely inefficiently. Half the boxes filled with paper / bubble wrap only... dead space you are charged for. This includes items that are not fragile and can’t be broken
- contractors saying last job they worked on, customer said all their expensive items were broken during delivery
- cannot give estimated date of delivery
- third party suppliers for unpacking on location
- broken items received

Household was picked up outside Sydney, then shipped to Melbourne where it was left on the dock for over a month! Informed that shipping would take 6-8 weeks, not 6-8 weeks plus another month as they had not bothered to get it on a ship!

I can see why they state "The transit time is defined as commencing from the date when payment and all completed shipping documents have been received and processed for shipping and the consignment arrives into one our warehouses in either Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra"

This means they can stuff around in the local country as long as they like before putting it on a ship.

Unfortunately this company was responsible for delivering our shipment from Switzerland. They are unprofessional and disjointed. They use a lot of contractors and take not responsibility for their actions. Contractors started late. There were not enough people to complete the job correctly in a day. I had to unpack most of the boxes myself when we paid for an unpacking service. Towards the end of the day when they were running out of time they just tipped out the contents of the boxes onto the beds and the floors. We have damaged and wobbly furniture. One of the delivery boys dropped the remote to our garage in a drain and could not retrieve it. When speaking with King & Wilson they are taking not accountability and have not arranged for a replacement over a week later. Had a bad experience using this company and could not recommend them. Used them to move interstate (NSW to QLD) and the whole exercise was a farce from the get-go. The container was poorly packed, resulting in quite a bit of damage things, some of which could not be repaired. When I brought this to their attention, their response was poor, to say the least. I had to involve AFRA (Australian Furniture Removalists Assoc) before I received any satisfaction. Also, they charged me for a particular way of packing (international) which they didn't do. Most disappointed, especially as the company my husband works for recommended them. I have made sure they won't be recommending them in the future.

I really appreciate how good this company is at what it does. This company didn't just move me across town - they went international and moved me to the USA. To my surprise the move was a smooth process. There were no breakages and the movers who did the job were a great bunch of blokes. Highly recommended
