Extraordinary desserts with finesse. Although offering a small range, each is a work of art, and perfect in flavour and construction. Service is warm and the staff knowledgeable. I enjoyed the raspberry cremeux with almond raspberry sponge, lychee white choc mousse with vanilla shortcrust base. It was pure joy on a plate, with each mouthful providing a symphony of flavours.
This place is ideal for a catch up either for business or with friends. The window display offers a range of delicious French treats and entices people inside. The service is excellent and food is very good. It's a small place but it's big on quality. The coffee is excellent. Thank you.
The first I've heard of this place was when my friends has got me a birthday cake from here. From then on, I found myself picking up a cake from here for someone's birthday each time. Unfortunately, it was towards the end of the day when we came here and we were left with just a few left.
They offer different sizes of cakes from small individual showcase cakes to large.
The customer service was also good although does seem a bit rushed during peak time for takeaway service.
A nice little cake store in Melbourne CBD. A colleagues birthday so a cake was ordered from Le Petit Gateau. Nicely boxed, firm and made it easy to transport from one end of the city to the other. Not sure of the actual cake that was ordered but the presentation was extremely beautifully set. Nice rich chocolate glazed as the top layer. Cutting into the cake it was dense and the bottom base was hard so I'm assuming must have been biscuit. My first bite was wow, delicious but i knew it would get sweet for me. Part layer of the cake was also chocolate mousse. So my 4th bite i knew i was done as it was just a bit too sweet for my liking. Others in the team gobbled it down with no issues and went for seconds. If you are a sweet tooth cake lover, then a worth a try as some of their sweet cakes.
