My daughter has been attending Leichhardt Montessori Academy for 18 months and I have been impressed by her learning experience and personal development during this time.
In the last 12 months, the centre has undergone a number of staff changes however I have been happy to see that this hasnt impacted on my daughter's experience and that new staff have quickly developed a meaningful relationship with her.
The staff are always happy and willing to discuss my daughter's development and very open to feedback. I have never had any concerns about my daughter's care or safety. The staff are very good at reporting any concerns particularly when an accident has occurred.
I highly recommend this centre!
This is a very badly run childcare. The staff turnover (carers and management) is very high. The long term carers of the babies are very disinterested and there is staff bullying towards new staff.
The centre has a very high daily rate and yet there is only limited educational time spent each day with the children.
Some of the carers are so lazy they put the children in their high chairs before 9 am when the food isn't delivered until 9:30.
Recently the centre emailed all parents advising us we had to pay $10 per child for the delivery of some baby Chickens. These chickens had arrived without consultation and were to be housed in the 4-6 room. Yet, they advised all parents of all ages to pay for this "priveledge".
This centre is a beyond a joke and a complete rought. They do not follow the Montessori method anyway.
