Lower Deck Cafe

I had lunch with my son today in this cafe. It was my first time in The Lower Deck since it was sold by the old owners and opened since COVID closure. Loved the food, loved the presentation of the food and the atmosphere in the cafe. The coffee was great: strong and beautifully presented. The food was plentiful and very colourful, the taste was great. I will definitely be coming back with my family and friends! Thank you for returning me back to Croydon for my lunch outings! Keep doing a great job, guys! You're amazing and your efforts are appreciated!

The Lower Deck Cafe Restaurant tucked away down the San Carlos Walk, Croydon. We came across this cafe by accident walking down the lane. There food service closes at 3pm so we just had a coffee. The menu looks inviting, while the cafe has a very relaxing private ambience. Will return next time through and choose diner from the menu. A good find.

We started going to Lower Deck for our Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast not long after it first opened. John and his team are professional, friendly and happy. Their coffee is smooth and rounded. I judge a breakfast venue on their sauted spinach, and Lower Deck consistently serve up flavoursome spinach. Their vegetarian breakfast comes complete with poached egg, sauted mushrooms & spinach and marinated fetta. Its a delicious way to start your day. And for those who arent actually vegetarian, order it with a side of their smoky bacon, and it will satisfy your meat craving too. After something cooler ? Their macadamia muesli drizzled with honey, topped with berries and served with a side of milk and Greek Yoghurt is a fresh way to start the day. I highly recommend this hidden delight, found at the end of a lane in Croydon. I thoroughly enjoyed my Lazy Hen Burger served with chips, the chicken was tender and fully of flavour, and the serve was very substantial. The staff were friendly, the service quick and I found the atmosphere relaxing, I intend to return on the weekend to try out their all day breakfast menu.

My breakfast was excellent, quality of the food first rate and plenty of it.

I will be returning to try out The Lunch and Tapas menu which is very enticing.

I have found the place I will come to buy my take away lunch, there are so many varied and interesting items in the display fridge.

I highly recommend giving the Lower Deck Cafe a try, and like me you will want to return
