After placing an order just before closing time i got home to find that part of the order was not there ($4 hot chips) i quickly returned to the store to see if they had been left behind, i thought that this would be a simple issue, it wasn't. The staff stomped around the shop waving her arms around saying why would someone come back an hour later (i was gone 15mins at most) once they found my order docket it the bin the new issue was what salt i ordered!!! I have never come across someone so rude and with such a lack of customer service, and it's a shame because the food is quite good.
The order was placed ten minutes before closing and you returned 30 minutes later.
It consisted of a hamburger, $4 chips six scallops and six fish cocktails as I remember. The chips were placed in the bottom of the box with the fish cocktails and the scallops on top. Two of us checked the order as it went out and the chips were in there, they might have been disguised by the other items, but were there. Although we did dispute his claim, we cooked another $4 chips with chicken salt. That is just good customer service as the customer is always right. When this customer got his chips he gave us a $10 dollar note and left the shop. If you did in fact ; not receive your original chips, why pay us two and half times their value and leave?
The chips were not there and i have my family who saw what i brought home to prove it, the way the staff at the store behaved was both very rude and disrespectful and went out of their way to make me feel as if i had stolen something, i left the $10 to show i didnt just come back to scab $4 of chips, it was principle, if you order something you expect to get what you pay for and this wasn't the case, i've never been on a website like this before to review but this is the most appaling behaviour that i have encountered anywhere and is something that i thought only existed on shows like 'Kitchen Nightmares' people have a right to know just as i do to have an opinion, nothing more, nothing less.
hey guys it's only chips...build a bridge already...maybe it was a bad day? I'm a regular customer of Maidens and have always had a good experience with both the service and the food. "Kitchen Nightmares" is a bit harsh mate....at least these guys know how to fry a good fish and chips..I challenge you to find better in Gosford. In the meantime don't sweat the small stuff....you do a great job Maidens!
