What I like about this store is it reminds me so much of the vintage bottle shops long ago, there doesnt seem to be many around these days, as most have been taken over by the larger stores within Coles/Woolworths which is a real shame. This shop is rather busy, particular Friday and Saturday evening. Ive seen so many people get off at the Newport train station, whether returning home or meeting people pop into this store. They have a great variety of wines, which there are some you may not even find at the larger stores. The older man serving at the counter definitely has a great knowledge of the business, coming in asking for a particular wine as a gift or what is to be prepared for dinner he has picked the right bottle on almost all occasions that Ive been there. They also have a weekly special which his pinned on a large notice board on the glass window. Great way to promote for all the passer-by, in particular the pedestrian catching the train.
