Max Brenner Chocolate Bar
It's a chocolate lover's dream, although with a BIG price tag and usually a very long wait. The food and drinks are always lovely and rich and well made, and I am happy to pay the high price every now and then. However, I feel there would be far more regular customers if the prices were more reasonable.
The staff are generally courteous and competent and we tend to be served our food and drinks in a timely manner after surviving the huge line to order.
I'm naturally not a huge fan of Max Brenner because I'm not w chocoholic but this is always a great place for a evening catchup. Located in the outdoor piazza, there's great vibes which means the place can become really packed. Worth trying their seasonal specials every now and then
This place is always SO packed and it's annoying because it's just such a frantic environment. It's not an organised chaos either. It's busy and messy and there always seems to be spills on tables or empty crockery. I usually don't go here but on the odd occasion when I catch up with friends I will since there isn't many options as far as cafe's go (mostly restaurants). Their hot chocolates are super milky and mine came out kinda cold. When I finished it I realised that the reason it was so milky was because the chocolate was at the bottom and hadn't been stirred in. It hadn't melted properly because the milk was only warm. Any time I have ordered a dessert it's come out either way before or way after my friends did. It's just a really average place with higher than averages prices.
