Medkare Medical Centre

Come across this medical centre by accident , after trying to find a doctor to work out a stubborn on going cough. Based on my condition I was admitted almost immediately. It was the longest room visit to a doctor in my adult life. Talk about be thourough, after checking me over he said to me that the medication provided in the past was this and this, truthfully I opened my bag and he was correct on two, third was not mentioned. Apparently the dosages weak and too strong. I started to think great a guess in the middle. He explained that he had seen this before. Within a day the cough eased off, a week it was a memory. For those who are time conscious you may need to find another centre that churns through its patience. If you are after results and a cure or someone that listens both doctors are great.

Wait times are a joke told 30 min wait end up waiting 2.5 hours i got in before the doctor arrived and still had 10 people before me. The reception is the worst ever absolutely unhelpful and useless should not have a job.

I have been going to Medkare for a few years now, I am not a local. Yes I do have to wait for over an hour sometimes. However the level of service/care by one doctor in particular is exceptional. My family are also see the same doctor too.

It is unfortunate that other people have not had good experiences.

Yes the waiting times a long BUT the staff are friendly, the Doctors are thorough and don't treat you like a number. The pathology nurse doesn't hurt when you get a jab. They are family friendly and experienced. I would wait 2 hours here and know that I have had the correct diagnosis than go elsewhere and have to return because I'm still not well. Just saying - it's worth the wait. I travel from east hills with my elderly parents to go here because we wouldn't go anywhere else. My daughter is 15 months old and the pathology nurse has done all our vaccinations and there is always very minimal fuss.

Fantastic crew, highly recommend it.

I've been coming to this doctors office for years as its the closest to home and am consistently kept waiting despite having an appointment.There is next to no concept of customer service - the staff member is always rude! Thank god a new doctors office just opened up down the road! Rethink your visit to medcare medical centre in dulwich hill!!!!!!
