While the food is okay the staff are rude. I asked for a chocolate cake and was barked At. The After using a $100 note the staff member who served us shook her head at me. I wont ever shop there again. She gives the place a bad name and clearly doesn't enjoy her job!!
When you don't need tomato sauce on a pie because it tastes better without it, you know you're on to something special. I've never had a better pie (and I've had many!). We drive through Mandurah on the way south just to get our fix. Did I mention the custard tarts?! ;) I asked if this store was owned by the same people who own the Melville one. Apparently they are owned by the same family and all items are baked by the same bakers and delivered every night. Judging by the flavor that must be true. Wish I had shares!
they have many awards and you can see why especially with their pies. they have all sorts including local seafood ones i have noticed. they are really nice and a great chance to stretch your legs and have a bite to eat. has always been where i stop heading past there :)
If you want a good pie, there really is no better place to go. I think it's universally agreed that Miami is in the top 3 (maybe 4) pie bakeries in Western Australia.
I have never tried the bread there but that is also award winning.
I would highly recommend the crab and fetta pie - it comes in a creamy sauce with black pepper. The garlic prawn pie is also pretty darn good.
There are only two down points to this bakery: they're expensive (but you get what you pay for in quality and size! Pies up to about $8 for the seafood) and they are ridiculously busy. Be prepared to queue for a while. By the time you are served your favourite pies could be all out, but they are constantly being churned out if you're willing to wait.
Actually another gripe I have is - no dessert pies :( But there are plenty of other sweet baked goods to choose from.
