New Royal Garden Restaurant

TERRIBLE!! The staff is a heavy handed arrogant individual who never smiled once, the Food was swimming in Oil on the plate and moreso there were Flies absolutely everywhere!! I politely advise everyone dont bother with this place if you want a clean restaurant & Good Service.

I'd love to review the food from this place - it smelled fabulous. However, the only thing I am able to review is this restaurant's ability to manage the relatively simple area of bookings, which is "not at all". My party of 7 waited 50 minutes past our booked time before we gave up and went elsewhere for a very nice pho. No explanation, no apologies, barely a glance in our direction for the entire time. The most disorganised, poorly run yum cha I have ever witnessed.

This is one of the nicest yum cha places in Melbourne. You have to book, as it gets extremely busy. Some of the staff are lovely, others are a little abrupt but the service is always fast. We had a very friendly waitress called Susan who entertained our little boy and even brought him easter eggs much to his delight. The food was amazing. It does get a little pricey when you order the larger dishes, but they are so good.

If you like slimy chicken and vegetables, and poor service; this is the place for you!!

Upon arrival, we were treated like unwanted drop-ins before we were showed to a table in the middle of restaurant were we immediately felt uncomfortable because the waitress didn't bother to speak to us until we asked for the menu, which was then pretty much thrown at us..

I love to go here for Yum Cha, they make the best dumplings. The prawn dumplings are huge and yummy. Their egg tarts cannot be missed, its tasty and hot from the oven!
