I have been a gold member for 3 years.. the gym is my life ... 4 - 6 times per week. I noticed things the first month that did not receive attention in the gym.. but all staff were very reassuring it would be repaired... they make you sign one year contract...squash courts always have lights out and take literally months to get attention.. recently (oct. Nov 2014) lights were actually damaged and hanging from the ceiling for more than 8 weeks before they were repaired... the managers response... We will fix it when we have a full days work for the electrician"..

I was at this club for 2 years before I got sick of all the equipment that wasn't getting repaired. Out of 10 bikes only 2 worked properly. They did buy new treadmills and cross trainers eventually but still have some old ones. Having said that Treadmills and crosstrainers take up most of the floor. They recently got bigger weights in too but they didn't have them when I was there. The air con frequently breaks in the summer and it stinks inside. Whilst it is big and looks amazing on first impressions it is too impersonal, only one trainer ever approached me to ask if he could be of any assistance. You will be lucky to find more than one trainer monitoring the floor at all times. Half the time I could never see one or when I did they were busy taking classes or PT sessions.
