Always great to take someone for their first experience on the Nut Chairlift, as it descends over the rise to the inspiring views of gorgeous Stanley and the north west tasmanian coastline. It was as I had remembered it - clean, warm, and friendly (Stanley is a winner of the cleanest tasmanian town award). The air quality is something one notices immediately within Stanley, even before using the chairlift and rising to heights above the Bass Strait. The views are amazing, and worth a lot more than the very affordable price of the chairlift. Clean toilets and a great little shop are available at the base of the chairlift. The Nut does form part of a National Park, so pets are not permitted outside. After walking to several viewing platforms atop The Nut, allow some time to explore the village shops. We enjoyed the swim/picnic at the base of The Nut at Godfrey's Beach. A REAL beach, beautiful water - Paradise!
