Oaks Pacific Blue Resort

I have stayed here twice with my partner, and on both occasions we found that the service and room presentation were excellent!!! They have cleaners who do cleaning daily, and are willing to attend to any request. It's not too pricy, so as a young couple on a tight budget, we were able to enjoy ourselves and not feel financially restricted.

The restaurant is great with a variety of meals and not over the top either.

We're looking forward to our next visit!!

Love the swim around pool, although the water was freezing! So I stuck to the spa most of the time! Great for kids too. When we arrived, we found cigarette butts and a coffee cup left on the balcony, so we called housekeeping to clean it up. The restaurant didnt have much atmosphere and food is pricey. Location is good too, very close to Nelson Bay and other nearby beaches. We rented a swim out pool, which is great as you can basically roll into the water from your deck but only issue is security..you cant lock your balcony door so anyone could swim up and enter your room.

Given it was peak season we understood swim out rooms and those overlooking the pool were booked out, however, if asked if you want to take a "hotel" room your best to decline. These rooms are located next to the car park. The so called "balcony" is a seat outside your room, then a shrub and then the road to the car park used all day by others to access the car park. Not at all the ambience or feel for afternoon nibbles, reading a book or relaxing. We then went to the "public beach" area of the pool to be advised no food or drinks allowed and there was no shade from the sun. In other words, use their expensive restaurant or nothing. What a great way to finish a great holiday. we stayed in the 2 bedroom swimout apartment for 10 days over New Year. our stay was very enjoyable, the staff are extremely pleasant and everyone will always go out of their way to make sure your experience staying at the hotel is what you expect. My boys had a great time in the pool, midnight swims, and spending time with the family . my wife love the beautician/massage pretty sure that was her best part in the holiday. great food at the onsite restaurant.We look forward to returning sometime in 2013. This is my absolute favourite place to stay in Port Stephens. I love the swim out pool that circles the apartment complex, the facilities and features are modern, stylish and accessible for all including a lap pool, spas, tennis court, gym and on site beautician/massage. The apartments are modern and I particular love to get a swim out studio or apartment when we have the chance. The restaurant whilst a little pricey is on site and a great place to dine for a special occasion or if you are looking for the 5 star holiday. Salamander shopping centre is a couple of mins down the road and right across the road you have a Bowling alley which works wonders for those unexpected nights of dreary rainy weather. Overall I love this place and love coming back at least twice a year.
