Orange Grove Organic Food Markets
Also known as: Orange Grove MarketsInner Westies love their organic fare and fortunately for them Organic Food Markets Orange Grove are more than able to not only deliver but sate the appetite.
Along with the usual range of organic and conventional foods, there are gourmet goodies from areas such as France, Argentina and the like. An excellent venue also to meet the Producers who supply many of Sydney's leading eateries.
For most shoppers their Saturday ritual starts with a coffee from either Mayan or Cappucinno Afloat accompanied by either one of Bowen's famed and queued patiently for Egg & Bacon Roll OR a French pastry.
Hidden treasures are to be found at every turn such as Kimono (stunning!), Indigo Bazaar specialising in Fair Trade gorgeousness, free range beef and eggs, streetfood from around the world (Empanada, Gozleme, Dim Sum, Corn Bread pockets stuffed with South American yum) and the Vegans amongst us being amply catered to also!

This is a solid inner city market, though it is expensive. The bacon and egg rolls are the eat-on-site standout. You'll also find good veg, decent bread and cheese. There are multiple van-based butchers who attend as well. If you're lucky the knife sharpener will also be there, and you can get your knives sharpened while you shop.
Great place to kill a couple of hours or less, you park and then stroll around, eat whilst you are there , but make sure you buy things to eat later too, such as bread and even curry pastes. Not dirt cheap, but that is ok, it's lovely to know that in this modern age we can directly support artisan bakers, farmers, growers etc. good to take guests from interstate of overseas and give them a real taste of Sydney.
i lOVE these markets. Open every Saturday no matter what the weather. Always busy, fantastic fresh produce, it's like a little village where everyone knows each other, stops says hi, spends a few moments talking and then continue on their way. As I am gluten intolerant it doesn't mean I miss out on anything at all. Far from it! In fact I am so in love with some of the vegan produce there I may totally convert! Can't rate it high enough and judging by the crowds obviously many others do as well!
Love the Orange Grove Markets. They are open every Saturday morning and you can always get fresh organic produce, quality meat and good bread. I love getting a bacon and egg roll from Bowen's and then browsing the markets whilst I scoff down breakfast.
There is also a cart selling a good variety of really delicious sweet and savoury tarts and quiches at the back of the markets. He sells them at 2 for $25 which is a bargain.
