I have vast experience in cooking Mexican Foods, I am not involved in any food business now but have owned establishments in other countries in the past. This is the second Mexican Restaurant we have been to in WA and the second disappointment. We would have been wise to turn around at the door after my wife said, "it doesn't smell very Mexican!!!" The food was bland, lacking cumin and cilantro, two staples of traditional spices. The meal was grossly overpriced and I estimate a costing of around $4.00 to produce my main which sold for $28.00. The wine list was basic to say the least filled with obscure Margaret River wines but priced at what domestic gold medal awarded wines would be priced at, and deciding to enjoy the premium wine I brought in as BYO was charged $7.00 corkage for one consumer and presented with what I'd describe as a martini glass to drink it from.
And back again we indeed came...:)) Had the chicken burro this time around. The word California written in mayo was a cool touch and made me laugh. We all tucked into our meals with vigour, and all stayed for dessert. Had this choc chilli moussey type thingo ....OMG, it was awesome!!! Don't wait for an excuse....just go:)))
Have been a couple of times now over the last two years.....food has been great every time, indeed the last time my sons and I ordered a second main to keep the taste buds rockin'. My boys keep asking me when are we going back again. Best Mexican restaurant I've ever frequented.
I advise that you DON'T GO THERE!!! Very poor service, poor hygiene standards and food very ordinary. Very disappointing waiting 3 hours for our main meal. On top of the poor standards the toilets didn't even have toilet paper and we found that this is where they actually keep the high chairs!!!!
