I know they advertise the Palm Bungalows as romantic and affordable for couples on a budget but honestly it felt like we were staying in an overpriced caravan. The tropical gardens were more like overgrown bushes. The bungalow was run down and in desperate need of a makeover and the hammock supplied on the decking well let's just say was unusable. We chose the bungalows as a cheaper alternative (not that cheap in my view) as we were only staying on Hamilton Island for one night for a wedding and figured this would be our own romantic little hut. Unfortunately our stay was very disappointing and further infuriated by the poor service we received during check in.
