Passiontree Velvet
I am always tempted by the beautiful display of cakes when I walk past and with a friend's persuasion, we sat down to enjoy morning tea here. The red velvet cake looked pretty but didn't taste of anything exciting, just sweet. The matcha latte had a nice matcha flavour but way too much sugar so was overly sweet. The scones were buttery, served warm & with proper cream and was enjoyable.
Came here for breakfast with a friend and decided to try this new cafe in Castle towers next to Myer. The decor is charming and cute. The iced coffee come 'deconstructed' with your milk, coffee and ice cream all separate, served on a wooden board.
We decided to order the big breakfast feast for two. It was BIG, to provide perspective, when our food came out, it pretty much made everyone in the cafe look. Served on a massive wooden. Sore, mounds of bacon, beans, bread and 4 eggs were served as well as a small 'fruit bowl' of berries.
Though it was a daunting task, we managed to forge our way through 65% of it. It was satisfying.
This cafe is definitely worth a try.
