Yeah...its time to write a review of this place. I have been going for few years now and slowly been going less and less. Truth be told a sense of dread comes over me when I enter the shop. There is a women there that actually has a staring problem. The last time I went I was with a friend and the first thing she mentioned when we left was how unpleasant the energy was in there. (I had said nothing previously). If your not getting stared up and down by one of the women that work there (yeah...you know who you are.) then your left feeling a bit like your being classed on how to be just cool enough to be accecpted. I have news for the the staff members of PLUMP: THE CUSTOMER is the coolest person you will ever meet because they pay your wage. Thats how it works. All this said, I will no longer be shopping at Plump anymore.
Love this little store! It's small but it has nearly everything I need for my weekly shop as I value fresh organic produce. Their fresh breads are to die for. I especially like their fruit loaf and crumpets which you can buy individually or in a pack (of about 4 if I recall). Their prices are a little on the expensive side but no more than I would expect for a small organic business. I would definitely recommend this place.
Exceedingly disappointing in that the supposed underlying philosophical construct of the purist providore is really a $$$$$$ focused organic grocer, who bears no relationship to the basic fundamental principle of truth, health and integrity. Today we found powdered toddler "milk" in-store here> When I tried to raise my concern with the staff member, they dismissed me out of hand and walked away rudely. I promise you I was very gentle in my approach. The staff was offhand and exceedingly rude. Staff did not wish to listen to anything I had to say, even though I am a senior midwife, fully appraised of the research literature; a regular family friendly, well traveled, experienced (3rd word practice/ academia/rural and remote/education/management) moderate. Toddlers DO NOT need toddler milk. This is a marketing ploy. Once old enough to be off breast milk or formula, a healthy diet is the go. Please don't frequent a store that appears only to want your money, not your health.
