Queen's Head Hotel
The Queen's head is a great example of modern hotel dining with polished food in a casually stylish setting.
Food wise, the menu offers something for everyone with upmarket concessions to pub grub standards.
The hotel's funky front bars have a jazzy vibe, smart wine list and bar meals, such as a mezze platter, burgers and gourmet bangers and mash.

I'm in two minds about this place. In fact I have never realised this place existed until I discovered it after perusing Google Maps one afternoon. It is one of those pubs hidden away from the main thoroughfares, and has a bit of a classy feel about it. As well as the bar, there is also a dinning area, and a beer garden out the back. However the one thing I thought was cool was the room where they had a pig with a table on its head. However, the staff didn't seem to be the friendliest, and being next to one of the boarding colleges for the university I suspect that this place can be a magnet for uni students during term time. However it wasn't all that bad, and I'd probably come back again.
Returned for dinner. Whilst the dishes had some temperature issues (some came out cold) the food was tasty but they need to learn to get crackling - crackly!! No point leaving the skin on if it's soft. We had a wait for our entrees but then our mains were out as soon as we were finished - so there were some timing issues too. Dessert was delicious. Service was ok.
What a nice find in North Adelaide. On a recent work trip I ended up here with the crew. They have a great wine list and the service was friendly. We decided to sit outside in the garden which is very cozy and order some finger food - which I must say was excellent, beautifully presented - perfect for sharing (squid, dips, selection of breads, crackers, olives etc). Good company, great wine and food with excellent service made this a highlight on my recent Adelaide visit.
