We went to the Queen's Head for dinner tonight. We ordered a Scotch Fillet Steak (well done) & chips no gravy and Chicken Schnitzel with vegetables. The steak was well done but it had something added to it that made juices run out all over the plate and make the chips soggy. The chips were frozen chips that they just cooked - they came out to me cold. For $26 the steak and chips were NOT WORTH IT! The chicken schnitzel itself was quite obviously a frozen one from the supermarket, the chicken part was as thin as cardboard, the crumb crust was disgusting and had a very weird taste. The vegetables were nicely cooked however the potato, while nicely cooked, was 1 HUGE potato - it wasn't cut up and was WAY too much for the eater. The chicken was definitely NOT worth the $18! We could have spent less money just buying the same stuff from the same supermarket!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Had a meal there with the family today..We ordered scallops with chips and salad . Now the salad was a measly three fork full with one onion one half cut up little tomato . Price gone up from ten to twelve and the portions have been cut back. The scallops been in the deep fryer for to long as the startled to be dry. My son and daughter had pasta bolognese . The sauce itself was not cooked by the hotel instead it came from a can . On the bottom of the bowl you could see the water com the pasta which wasn't drained properly . For
a meal which has been charged at twelve dollars it would not be worth two . After numerous calls to the management and no reply I had no choice but to write this review. Very disappointed .
