I'm in two minds about this pub. A part of me felt that it isn't the type of pub respectable people visit, and this was confirmed when I found the designated smoking area, however the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the meals were really, really cheap. Not only where they cheap, but they were pretty nice as well. Basically this is your standard suburban pub with a bistro, sports bar, and pokies room. Mind you, I was probably expecting something a little flashier for a place like Southport, but I guess not being a local I not know the real ins and outs of the place. However, despite its dinginess, the staff did make this pub a place worth visiting, and I would probably come back if I happen to be down Southport way again in the future. Oh, since this is a standard suburban no frills pub, don't expect any craft beers on tap (though that might change).
