Restaurant Two
An institution for Brisbane’s business set. Gaze over the Botanic Gardens through the picture windows of the heritage-listed Old Mineral House and enjoy chef David Pugh’s premium produce and contemporary cuisine. Restaurant Two makes the top 50 on the Gourmet Traveller 2010 list of Australia’s best restaurants. It’s well deserved. The degustation menu is a favourite with those not on a budget. And the waiters know their way around an impressive wine list.
Fantastic central location with a view over to the botanical gardens. The service was outstanding and the bar well stocked. Food was second to none, highly recommend the barramundi and crab starter.
However, I was so surprised to step into the bathroom, the ladies toilets were disgusting, toilet paper was stacked on the floor, some toilets had no seat lid. For such an elegant establishment a little money invested in a toilet refurb would go a long way.
Not the best food I have had in Brisbane. Seasoning was off in most of the plates. The quail for the entree was the only decent food out of the lot. For a restaurant charging over $40 for a main very disappointing. Knowledge of the waiters were disappointing and felt they have hired a few backpackers.
Excellent ! I am a very harsh judge when it comes to food but i simply could not fault this place. My boyfriend is a chef so usually a very big critic when it comes to food but he could not fault it either. The service and the food was amazing and i would defiantly go back again.
