Rivers Clearance Store

I went to purchase a pair of Crocs. I went to the register to purchase them. I waited 5 mins for an assistant to come to the register to serve us. I saw an assistant and asked if she was serving as I saw her earlier sweeping the floor whilst trying on the shoes. I asked her if she was on her own. She replied " there is two of us and my colleague was on break, there is a sign on the counter that says ring for assistance" the sign was not clearly showing on the counter, we did not see the sign" I advised her that she should stay at the counter and serve customers if your colleague has gone on break. You should not be sweeping the floor. She replied "We are allowed to leave the register" her body language I did not like and then she replied. "I will just put them in a bag for you, and scan your reward card. She handed the shoes to me and said "you have a lovely day" in a smart tone. There is no excuse for rudeness. Very disappointed as the staff are really nice and friendly.
