Extremely disappointed in the rudeness of the management. Shopped at this store for years but as soon as I let them know I was disappointed I had to wait 2 and a half years for a book, the claws came out. Apparently they have "5 star service" because they remembered my order for two and a half years. Come off it!
Love this place, its clean and has a real cosy feel with mismatch shelves and "blind date" books. Staff always know their stuff and can reccomend books for others if you know what they like. Plus if you fancy a coffee its right there at the back, shame the whole store isnt bigger BUT they can order anything in and quickly too. I bought a bit of my xmas shopping here as they have the POP! vinyl dolls that are all the rage and much cheaper than elsewhere, (matched ebay prices!) its my first stop for books and the like
I guess what I like about this book store is that it's not a chain, so you get that private, cosy feel you would have recieved when going into a book store in the 'olden days'.
The staff are always obliging and helpful and are passionate about their product. They are also willing to order in anything you ask for-if it's available (including imports). They have an ABC section and of course a cafe to sit down and relax at while you sample your next purchase.
I had to wait two and a half years for a book that was in print. You got lucky.
