I experienced a day on the green with the B52s and had so much fun! The surroundings are truly lovely and there's a warm, friendly ambience. Staff is lovely and the food is actually very good. This is more than a "winery experience" but make sure to book ahead as it gets busy.
I had really good service, food, and wine here. Definitely feels like one of the bigger wineries in the region, which wouldn't make it ideal for someone wanting a cozy, local feel, but that also means they know what they're doing and the meals are well prepared and very tasty.
This is a lovely winery in the Yarra Valley / Coldstream region and they do movies and open air concerts in the summer. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and the wine pairings are always very impressive. The cuisine is modern Australian. The last time I went they had a wine special whereby they were reducing their 2013 sav blancs to less than $15 which was fantastic and I bought a few bottles to give as gifts.
Nice winery, food in the restaraunt was ok but the service was poor, lacking attention to detail. Lots of very large groups dining making it very hard to have a conversation with the people our table. Definatly not the service expected from a well know winery like Rochford.
I haven't experienced a concert on the green but I thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine and most of all, the views of the Yarra Valley. I especially love to see the Valley in winter when it's all green and quiet and you are surrounded by the fresh air and rolling hills. The food is not cheap but it is lovely.
