I was introduced to "the rock" by a group of friends who insisted, "you've gotta see this place". Sure, I thought, just once. My first reaction was WOW!! Where did they get all this stuff? The memorabilia is AMAZING, and well worth a look. The friends i dined with had that "I told you so" look on their face. We were greated and lead to our table by a very pleasant waitress, who reminded us that happy hour was about to end. The 1/2 priced drinks went down a treat, as did the HUGE family pizza (big enough for an extended family!) that we ordered. At the table next to us, a guy seemed to be struggling to get through the eye fillet steak stack, which he told us was delishious. As a whole Fantastic atmosphere, excellent service, very reasonably priced ($2 stubbies, and $4 margaritas during happy hour, and family pizzas under $20) If I had to make a suggestion, it would be for a little more room between tables. Overall 4.5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have eaten at the RRC twice. The first time I had their hamburger which was large enough to share. It was absolutely excellent. I think it is the best burger in Hobart. The second time I ate there I had the American Style Marinated Spare Ribs, and unfortunately they were woeful. First they were not marinated. Secondly they were not cooked poperly. These ribs were neither and the sauce was just slathered on before they were served. At $30 for the plate of spare ribs that were not tender at all and should have by all rights been cooked to practically fall of the bone, was a real disappointment. My partner had the lasagna and said the meal was way too large. I would suggest they offer half portions at a reduced cost. For instance a half portion of a $20 meal for $12.50 or similar. The staff is attentive and pleasant, and they ...read more
