Lovely restaurant, great location. Never had any bad experiences with staff or slow food service. The restaurant is reasonably small and family run from what I can tell, so you can't expect them to have excess wait staff on to cater for a busy 2 hour period, I only mention this from comments I have read below. If we go to a restaurant and are hungry we will just get the wait staffs attention and order quickly rather than wait for them to get back to our table. Always a nice, fresh meal. May be a good idea to book on a Friday or Saturday night.
When your customers arrive and have a booking it is nice to welcome them, sit them at their table and take drink orders......none of the above happened. Our evening out with 4 friends was spoilt by the very rude staff and a meal served cold... unbelievable, and embarrassing for all at the table. Will not bother going again and will not recommend to others. Shame as we are locals and love to support local business.
Good food takes time ! Fast food is great if you get out of your car and still get pissed of when u need to wait what can I say don't go to a restaurant and this your food will be ready with the flick of a switch if u have great company and good wine u will never notice the wait !
This is a true old scholl Italian restaurant with the most amazing Italian wines on their wine list, and without doubt the pizzas and homemade warm olive keep me coming back time and time again, its worth every bit of the 40 minute drive to sit, eat and watch the world go by.
